About this Project
Informational website for the DBO green Academy, showcasing the academy's past cohorts, achievements, community, testimonials. It comes with a fully functional admin dashboard that doubles as a Content Management System.
The Problems Identified
- Complete Absence of a Digital Footprint (No Website): The academy operated entirely without an official website or centralized web presence, relying instead on word-of-mouth and social media posts to share information.
- Manual and Fragmented Cohort Admissions (Google Forms Dependency): Past cohort applications were handled through basic Google Forms, requiring the internal team to manually sort, track, review, and follow up with hundreds of applicants using separate spreadsheets.
- Lack of a Centralized Administrative Dashboard & Communication Tools: There was no central dashboard or unified CRM system to manage candidate profiles, monitor application statuses, or broadcast communications. Team newsletters and updates had to be sent manually through third-party tools or external email accounts.
How they were solved
- Digital Footprint: Built a full standalone website (academy.drbodeoguntoke.com) with dedicated pages such as Home, About, Founder, Mentors, Programmes, Cohort registration, replacing reliance on word-of-mouth and scattered social media posts with a centralized, professional online presence.
- Cohort Admissions: Replaced manual Google Forms with a structured in-site registration flow (Cohort 3 page) that presents programme details, eligibility criteria, and an integrated "Register Now" application path, removing the need for spreadsheet-based manual sorting and tracking.
- Centralized Dashboard & Communication: Established a unified dashboard (with newsletter signup and contact channels built into the site) as the foundation for centralized candidate management and broadcast communications, moving away from fragmented third-party tools and external email accounts.
