About this Project

The newly built Dr. Bode Oguntoke website is a comprehensive, high-performance personal digital archive and professional brand platform developed for a prominent leader in corporate governance, cybersecurity, and strategic IT management. The primary objective was to unify a decades-long career of dispersed intellectual property, media features, and thought leadership into a single, secure, and authoritative digital repository. The platform effectively showcases extensive multi-industry achievements, houses a searchable digital library of whitepapers and presentations, and features an interactive multimedia gallery of global speaking engagements. Designed to balance legacy preservation with forward-looking professional engagement, the site streamlines strategic industry connections, board-level inquiries, and mentorship opportunities through optimized, secure inbound communication workflows.

The Problems Identified

Non-Mobile Responsiveness: The old site failed to adapt to smartphones and tablets, causing text to overlap, images to distort, and menus to become completely unusable on smaller screens.
Broken UI and Misaligned Elements: Over time, outdated code and lack of maintenance caused severe visual bugs, including misplaced text boxes, broken layout grids, overlapping buttons, and inconsistent font styles.
Absence of a Dedicated Gallery: The previous website completely lacked a structured, dedicated space to showcase visual media, forcing event photos, video clips, and speaking engagement highlights to either be left off the site or crammed into unrelated text pages.

How they were solved

Mobile Responsiveness: Rebuilt on a modern Next.js framework with fully responsive layouts (hero slider, mentorship cards, testimonials, footer), ensuring text, images, and menus scale and reflow correctly across phones, tablets, and desktops with no overlap or distortion.
UI Bugs & Misaligned Elements: Replaced the outdated codebase entirely with a clean, component-based design system, consistent fonts, aligned grids, structured sections (Hero → About teaser → Highlights → Mentorship → Testimonials → Footer), eliminating the visual bugs and layout breakage of the old site.
Dedicated Gallery: Added a standalone "Gallery" page in the main navigation, plus a homepage "Highlights & Moments" section (Personal/Community categories) giving event photos, personal moments, and community engagement visuals a proper, structured home instead of being crammed into text pages or omitted entirely.
